Terms of Service

Effective August 11, 2026

These terms govern your use of Scaler Profit Analytics (“Scaler”, “the app”), a Shopify application operated by Loomity Inc, doing business as Scaler Apps (“we”, “us”). By installing or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not install the app.

What the app does

Scaler reads your Shopify store data and, if you choose to connect one, your Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising account, in order to calculate and display your profit — revenue less cost of goods, shipping, transaction fees, expenses and advertising spend.

The app is a reporting and analysis tool. It does not process payments, place orders, create or manage advertising, or make changes to your store or ad accounts.

Your account and eligibility

You must have an active Shopify store and the authority to install applications on it.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the cost data you enter. Costs you record yourself — cost of goods, shipping rates, custom expenses — directly determine the profit figures the app reports.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Shopify and Meta accounts, including who in your organisation can access them.

Third-party connections

Connecting a Meta advertising account is optional and initiated by you. When you connect one, you authorise Scaler to read advertising data on your behalf using read-only access. You may revoke that access at any time from your Facebook settings or by disconnecting inside the app.

Scaler depends on the Shopify and Meta platforms and on exchange-rate data from a third-party provider. We are not responsible for outages, changes or errors in those services, and data may be unavailable or delayed when they are.

Accuracy of reporting

Scaler is an analytics tool, not an accounting, tax or financial advice service. Its figures are estimates derived from the data available to it. They are not a substitute for your accounting records, and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for financial, tax or business decisions. Verify against your own books and your platforms' own reporting before acting on them.

Figures may differ from other sources for ordinary reasons, including:

Advertising platforms restate recent spend for several days after the fact
Advertising is reported in the ad account's timezone, which may differ from your store's
Where currency conversion is enabled, converted amounts use daily reference exchange rates, not the rate you were actually billed at
Costs you have not entered are treated as zero and will overstate profit

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the app to access data belonging to any store or advertising account you are not authorised to access
Attempt to circumvent the app's access controls, probe its infrastructure, or interfere with other merchants' use of it
Copy, resell or redistribute the app or its output as your own product
Use the app for any unlawful purpose

Fees

Any charges for the app, including any free trial and what happens when it ends, are shown in the Shopify App Store listing and at the point of installation, and are billed by Shopify under their billing terms. Changes to pricing will be notified in advance and will not apply retroactively to a period already paid for.

Your data

How we handle your data is described in our privacy policy. You can request deletion of your data at any time — see the data deletion page. You retain ownership of your store data; installing the app grants us only the access needed to provide it to you.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the app available and accurate, but it is provided on an “as is” basis without warranty of uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may add, change or remove features, and may suspend the service for maintenance.

Ending your use

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it from your Shopify admin, which immediately ends its access to your store. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are breached, or if required by Shopify, Meta or applicable law.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Loomity Inc is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, or business decisions made in reliance on the app's figures. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change materially, this page is updated and the effective date above is revised. Continuing to use the app after that constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
